Dr Ghulam Raza Bhatti, Member (O&P), Higher Education Commission, and Dr Manzoor Hussain Soomro, President ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), visited AZRI (PARC) Umerkot. The both scientists thoroughly visited the institute's activities in detail and appreciated the work executed by the institute says a press release issued here on Tuesday. Both scientists urged to train the local community and expand their ideas to the other farmers of the community.

Dr Manzoor Soomro advised to coordinate with the team of Sindh Coal Authority as they are wondering for such type of the expertise. Dr Bhatti said that it is very surprising for me that such type of work is doable in desert area and it's very impressive for him to project these success stories with his organization. They both appreciated the vision of the PARC Management for taking interest in this remote area. This institute can play a vital role for the farmer's community of the Thar dessert.

Both Scientists also appreciated AZRI, Umerkot Scientists to tackle the problems of arid/semi-arid agriculture of Thar and surrounding areas and develop technique of the best land use in the arid region of Thar and adjoining irrigated belt of lower Sindh.-PR
